Another Night of a an Excellent Convention Speech

Edwards managed to do what is so difficult in politics, give a very good speech, underlying the important themes of the party (including some real, live, proudly liberal rhetoric) yet not make it so good that Kerry cannot eclipse it. He is an extremely likeable man, as is the rest of his family. He also portrayed competence and gave just the right balance of promises and detail.

Dick Cheney has never given a speech anywhere close to it, and never will.

One last thing on Obama, The Daily Show, reminded me of Obama's being the descendant of goat herders. I do believe that Mickey Kaus will now be on board, hoping for a fix up.
