Good news everyone

Tasers are totally safe...

"There is no conclusive medical evidence in the current body of research literature that indicates a high risk of serious injury or death to humans from the direct or indirect cardiovascular or metabolic effects of short-term CED exposure in healthy, normal, nonstressed, nonintoxicated persons."

...except if you're the kind of person who normally ends up getting tasered.

This falls into the category of "who you gonna believe, me or your lyin' eyes?"

That people die regularly and repeatedly after being tasered sort of negates the assertion that they're totally safe, even with the proviso of "healthy, normal, nonstressed, nonintoxicated...."

Anyone coming in contact with the police these days is going to be stressed--especially by the foreknowledge that they're going to be electrocuted if they even ask what the charges are....

so in order to safely use the tasers the cops are going to have to get medical records and a dr's release prior to tasing unsuspecting people from behind?

Exactly, sukabi.
If I saw a taser, I'd be stressed.
Thus, it cannot safely be used on anyone. Oy.
