Why tamper with "Perfection"?

This coming Tuesday will be quite entertaining I hope when Murdoch testifies in front of a committee of the British House of Commons (or it will turn out like a typical American Congressional Hearing and be quite awful), but Murdoch's sycophantic interview in the Wall Street Journal is full of wanking.

Murdoch, who will join his younger son James and News International chief executive Rebekah Brooks at the hearing, added: "We think it's important to absolutely establish our integrity in the eyes of the public."

The chairman and chief executive of News Corp also defended the company's handling of the crisis, claiming it had made only "minor mistakes".

Yes, I'm sure Milly Dowler's family would agree -- it was all a "minor mistake" hacking their daughter's phone and making them think she was alive.

"When I hear something going wrong, I insist on it being put right," he said.

Yeah, like this prompt correction -- it's all the liberals fault!

Rupert's interview does seem a lot like one Mubarak or Qadahfi (500th different spelling!) would give.

I have it on good authority (an expert in all things related to Arabic script and transcription) that the correct spelling is BhaphΦ☝i. Yet oddly the style editors at the WaPo, the BBC and AFP still won't return my calls.

Murdoch also said he was "becoming annoyed" with the media coverage of this issue. How ironic.
