Song of the South

Mitt Romney is trying to act all southern.

When is he going to start singing "Born on the Bayou"?

Painful to watch.
After 6 years of campaigning, you'd expect a little more polish.

The serial adulterer and 'ole Frothy ought to play "Fortunate Son"

Some folks are born silver spoon in hand,
Lord don't they help themselves.
But when the tax man comes to the door,
Lord, the house looks like a rummage sale.

It ain't me,
it ain't me.
I ain't no millionaire's son.

Of course the other lyrics point a dagger at themselves, but... well... just never mind.

Romney: Not as Christian as the true sons and daughters of the south and least chance at secession and the south rising again. [scattered polite claps]

Gingrich, Santorum and/or Paul: Christian enough for the true sons and daughters of the south and much greater chance at secession and the south rising again. [rousing rebel Yell!911!!]

Romney's chances in the south - not so good.

And, cheesy grits? Is that what the south has come to? Cheesy? Grits?

You have to be from El Cerrito, CA to sing "Born On The Bayou" credibly.
